Hey Upper Valley friends! It looks like most of us will make it to another weekend so let’s spend some time luxuriating in fun things to do in the best part of New Hampshire and Vermont!
Things To Do Weekend of 1/12
Friday
Get your art on at The Taylor Gallery at Kimball Union Academy from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm for This That Then and Now, Work in Various Mediums by Jim Schubert.
Enjoy dinner and a show at Hartford High School. $5 for what could be a very festive evening. It starts at 6:00 pm in the HHS cafe.
Friday means piano and tarot and that Main Street Museum in White River Junction. The elegance starts at 5:00 pm. It’s free, but you should donate anyway. Tarot is an additional fee and worth it.
Movie night returns to Fairlee, VT at the Fairlee Town Hall. This week it will be early cartoons and Buster Keaton. It is free and starts at 7:00 pm. Come early and grab a burger down the street at Broken Hearts Burger.
Napoleon is playing at the Black Center at Dartmouth College in Hanover. The show starts at 7:00 pm, and tickets are around $8.
Saturday
This is your weekly reminder that the Hood Museum at Dartmouth College is free and has an amazing collection of art presented in fun and innovative ways. The Orozco murals in the basement of the Baker Library are also great, and nearby art installations X-delta and Thel are fun to play on.
AVA Gallery in Lebanon has Community Arts Open Studio (CAOS) for Families in Lebanon from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. It is an opportunity for fun art projects and is free.
The Hopkins Center has Kristina Wong for Public Office at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. Go to the 2:00pm showing and then head over to Still North Books to continue the fun. Tickets are $45. It might be sold out. But, you should still go to Still North they have great coffee.
Head back to White River Junction (it’s not so bad) and luxuriate in live music at The Main Street Museum. What Doth Life brings the Pilgrims, Petricore & Big Destiny at 7:00 pm. $10 OBO There might be cake. (There was cake.)
Sunday
Be the carbs you want to see in the world. Katie The Bagel Lady will be at Putnam’s Vineyard in White River Junction from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
