Vision
We imagine an Upper Valley where creativity and collaboration fuel a thriving economy, a vibrant arts culture, and a community where everyone feels they belong—whether they’re here for a day, a season, or a lifetime.
Mission
What are we doing?
HeyUpperValley uses social media and storytelling to showcase the people, businesses, and experiences that make the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont a great place to live, work, and visit. By connecting residents, visitors, and local entrepreneurs, we help strengthen the economy, spark community pride, and make it easier for everyone to discover what makes this region special.

Other Important Things
Land
HeyUpperValley recognizes that we live, work, and gather on the ancestral lands of the Abenaki people. We honor the history of this land, acknowledge the painful legacy of displacement and loss, and pay our respects to the Indigenous communities who continue to maintain deep connections here today.
Who is that person on the other side of the screen?
Another very good question. HeyUpperValley was founded in 2019 by almost New Hampshire native Gordon Boddington. Gordon was born in Florida and raised in a converted maple sugar shack on the northern edge of Franconia Notch. As a child, Gordon spent his days exploring the New Hampshire wilderness, where we developed a love of the area’s history and landscape. After college in Washington State, Gordon returned to New Hampshire and now lives in the wilds of the Upper Valley.
